WriteTone is developed and operated by TrevBeats Multimedia. This Privacy Policy explains what data WriteTone collects, how it is used, and which third-party services receive your data when you use the app.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When setting up your voice profile, you may voluntarily provide:

Your name, brand name, professional name, and occupation — used only to build your AI voice profile
Social media handles (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X/Twitter, Facebook) — used to analyze your public post history
Profile photo — stored locally on your device only, never transmitted
Writing samples — pasted manually to improve voice fingerprint accuracy
Signature phrases — stored locally and used only when you toggle them on

Information Processed When You Use the App

When you request a rewrite or voice analysis, the following data is transmitted to third-party AI services:

Input text — the text or content you paste or type for rewriting
Voice style preferences — your tone, dialect, energy level, and writing style settings from your voice profile
Social media handles — when you run a Deep Analyze, your handles are sent to search for your public posts
Writing samples — if you use the Manual Voice Boost feature, your pasted samples are sent for analysis

This data is processed in real-time and is not stored on TrevBeats Multimedia's servers after a response is returned.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your email address, phone number, or payment information
We do not create user accounts
We do not track your location
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
We do not sell your data to third parties

2. How We Use Your Information

All information you provide is used exclusively to power the app's AI voice-matching and content rewriting features:

Your profile data is used to build a personalized voice fingerprint stored locally on your device
Your input text and voice profile settings are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API to generate rewritten content in your style
Your social handles and writing samples are sent to our AI proxy to perform voice analysis
Your output history (last 20 rewrites) is stored locally on your device for your reference only

3. Data Storage

WriteTone stores all profile and history data locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and Keychain:

Your voice profile (name, handles, style preferences, writing samples)
Your output history (last 20 rewrites)
Your profile photo (if provided)
Your data consent preference

This data is not stored on TrevBeats Multimedia's servers. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.

4. Third-Party Services

WriteTone transmits data to the following third-party services to deliver its core features. By using WriteTone and agreeing to the in-app consent prompt, you acknowledge that your data is shared with these services.

Anthropic – Claude AI API

What is sent: Your input text and voice style preferences are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude AI API for every rewrite and tone modification request.

Why: Claude AI powers all content rewriting, voice cloning, and tone adjustment features in WriteTone.

Data protection: Anthropic does not use API-submitted data to train its models. Data submitted via the API is not retained beyond the scope of the request.

TrevBeats Multimedia AI Proxy (Firebase Cloud Functions)

What is sent: All AI requests are routed through a proprietary proxy hosted on Google Cloud (Firebase Cloud Functions) before being forwarded to Anthropic's API. This proxy exists to keep API credentials secure and is not used to log or store your content.

Data retention: No request content is logged or retained by TrevBeats Multimedia beyond the duration of the request.

Perplexity AI (via Proxy – Voice Analysis Only)

What is sent: When you run a Deep Analyze, your name and social media handles are sent to search for your publicly available post history on social media platforms.

Why: Perplexity AI is used to find and analyze your public posts to build your voice fingerprint. Only publicly available content is accessed. Private accounts and private posts are never accessed.

5. Camera and Photo Library

WriteTone requests camera and photo library access only to allow you to set a profile photo. Photos are resized and stored locally on your device only. Images are never transmitted to any server.

6. User Consent

On first launch, WriteTone presents a data disclosure consent screen before any data is transmitted to third-party AI services. This screen discloses:

What data will be sent (your text and voice preferences)
Who the data is sent to (Anthropic's Claude AI API)
That TrevBeats Multimedia does not store or sell your content

You must tap "I Agree" before any AI-powered feature transmits data. If you tap "Not Now," no data is transmitted.

7. Children's Privacy

WriteTone is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. Data Retention

Since all profile and history data is stored locally on your device, you control your data retention. You may delete the app at any time to remove all stored data.

Data transmitted to Anthropic and Perplexity via our proxy is not retained by TrevBeats Multimedia after the API response is returned. For data retained by Anthropic or Perplexity, please refer to their respective privacy policies linked in Section 4.

9. Your Rights

Because WriteTone does not collect or store personal data on TrevBeats Multimedia's servers, most data rights are exercised simply by using or deleting the app. If you have questions about data processed through our AI proxy or by third-party services, you may contact us below.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
