KORNERS ("we," "our," or "us") is developed and operated by Trevbeats. This Privacy Policy explains what information KORNERS collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
KORNERS collects only the information necessary to provide route optimization and errand management features.
Location Data
KORNERS accesses your device's GPS location to determine your starting point for route optimization, provide accurate ETAs and drive times, detect when you arrive at a stop via geofencing, and calculate fuel costs based on distance driven. Location is used only while the app is active or running a route. We do not store or transmit your location to external servers.
Voice and Speech Data
When you use the Voice Memo feature, your speech is transcribed on-device using Apple's Speech Recognition framework. The transcribed text is sent to our secure AI backend (hosted on Supabase) to extract errand information. Audio recordings are never stored. Transcribed text is processed in real time and not retained after extraction.
Contacts
If you choose to add errands from your Contacts, KORNERS accesses your contact list only when you explicitly open the Contact Picker. Contact data is used solely to populate errand addresses and is never stored, transmitted, or used for any other purpose.
Errand and Run History
Your errands, run history, vehicle profiles, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults and on-device storage. This data never leaves your device unless explicitly shared by you using the Share Run feature.
Device Identifier
A random anonymous device ID is generated and stored locally. This ID is used solely for rate limiting requests to our AI backend and cannot be used to identify you personally.
KORNERS uses the following third-party services to provide its features:
Anthropic Claude AI — Our AI backend uses Anthropic's Claude API to extract errands from voice transcripts, suggest errands, and detect scheduling conflicts. Transcribed text is sent to our Supabase backend, which calls the Anthropic API. Your API key is never stored on your device. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.
Supabase — We use Supabase as a secure backend proxy to handle AI requests. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
Apple MapKit — Route optimization, directions, and ETA calculations use Apple's MapKit framework. Apple's privacy policy is available at apple.com/privacy.
AAA Gas Price Data — Current gas prices are fetched from AAA's publicly available state average data at gasprices.aaa.com. No personal information is transmitted in this request.
U.S. Department of Energy (fueleconomy.gov) — Vehicle MPG data is retrieved from the EPA's public fuel economy database. No personal information is transmitted.
All personal data — including your errands, run history, vehicle profiles, home and work addresses, and settings — is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a user database and cannot access your personal data remotely.
Data transmitted to our AI backend (transcribed voice text) is encrypted in transit using HTTPS and is not retained after processing. Our Supabase backend does not log or store your errand content.
KORNERS is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
Location access: You can disable location access at any time in your device Settings. Route optimization requires location — the app will use a default starting point if location is unavailable.
Microphone and speech recognition: You can disable microphone access in your device Settings. Voice Memo features will be unavailable.
Contacts access: You can disable Contacts access in your device Settings. The Add from Contacts feature will be unavailable.
Delete your data: All locally stored data can be deleted by going to Settings → Data → Clear All Saved Data within the app, or by deleting the app from your device entirely.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of KORNERS after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
