1. Information We Collect

DidYou? does not collect any personal information. All data you enter into the app — including task titles, reminder messages, alarm settings, and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using iOS standard local storage.

Data stored locally on your device:

• Task titles and reminder messages you create
• Alarm date, time, and repeat settings
• Voice, haptic, and flash alert preferences
• Imported custom alarm sound files
• App settings and preferences

None of this data leaves your device. We have no access to it.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Analytics or usage data
• Crash reports sent to our servers
• Any data through third-party SDKs or analytics platforms

DidYou? contains no third-party advertising, no tracking SDKs, and no analytics frameworks.

3. Permissions We Request

Notifications

DidYou? requires notification permissions to deliver your reminders at the scheduled time. Notification content (your task title and message) is processed entirely on-device by iOS and is never transmitted to our servers.

Calendar Access (Optional)

If you grant calendar access, DidYou? reads your upcoming calendar events so you can add them as reminders. This data is read locally on your device and never transmitted externally. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.

Critical Alerts (Optional)

You may choose to enable Critical Alerts, which allows reminders to bypass Silent mode. This is an iOS system permission. No data is collected as a result of enabling this permission.

Microphone / Speech

DidYou? uses iOS's built-in text-to-speech engine (AVSpeechSynthesizer) to read your reminder messages aloud. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted. We do not access your microphone.

4. Data Storage & Security

All app data is stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage mechanisms (UserDefaults and the Application Support directory). This data is:

• Protected by your device's built-in encryption and passcode
• Backed up as part of your normal iCloud or iTunes backup if you have backups enabled
• Never accessible to us or any third party

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed from your device.

5. Children's Privacy

DidYou? is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from children or any other users, as we collect no information at all.

6. Third-Party Services

DidYou? does not integrate any third-party services, advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers. The app operates entirely on your device without communicating with any external servers.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version here with an updated effective date. Because we do not collect your contact information, we cannot notify you directly — we encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Any future version of DidYou? that introduces data collection will prominently disclose this and obtain your consent before collecting any data.

8. Your Rights

Because DidYou? does not collect any of your data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. All your data lives on your device and is entirely under your control.

To delete all app data, simply delete DidYou? from your device.
